- Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework). Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week at their own expense.

**The Role**:
We are looking to hire a Manager, Compensation Services to lead the Compensation office at the National Research Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high performing team within a large dynamic group of professionals. In this role, you will plan, develop and manage a comprehensive program to deliver the full range of compensation services for all NRC staff. You will also be key in providing operational and strategic advice to senior management on a range of topics that involve compensation. In addition, you will research, analyze and provide proposals for improvements to policies and processes with compensation impact.

**Experience**:

- Experience motivating, leading, training and managing staff in high functioning teams within HR.
- Experience in creating, reviewing, and conducting quality control of business processes and procedures.
- Experience managing and resolving complex client pay issues in a government context.
- Minimum three years (3) experience in the use of HR and Pay systems and tools in the Federal Public service such as the Regional Pay System (RPS), Phoenix, PeopleSoft.
