**Home Care Service Coordinator - Job description**

About Us

At Blissful Living Home Care services, we are looking to add a full-time service coordinator to our new team

By joining us, you will be a part of an organization that is committed to providing outstanding home care services in Nova Sotia with a mission to make our community stronger by hiring locally.

The service coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to both client care and service coordination. The service coordinator will work together with caregivers and family members of clients. The service coordinator will be a key member of the administrative and operations team and caregivers. The service coordinator will also conduct research and identify new leads for the home care business.

Job responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients/create business leads.
- Develop strong working relationships with Group Homes, Nursing Homes, and other allied healthcare professionals in territory.
- Respond quickly and knowledgeably to customer inquiries.
- Understand and respond to local market needs and competition.
- Developing professional yet friendly relationships with our caregivers, clients, and family members.
- Coordinate/conduct home care consultations, introductions, and QA visits.
- Scheduling and coordinating employees and customers.
- Accurate record keeping by entering caregiver and client information.
- Manage weekly scheduling needs.
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets and report as required on progress.
- Participate with the manager on planning and forecasting sales and growth areas for the business.
- Attend training as required.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends.
- Demonstrate positive, productive customer service and co-worker relationships.
- Provide feedback as to how to improve our services for our customers and create positive environment for our staff.

Job Requirements:

- A post-secondary degree in health-related field with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the health care setting.
- Critical eye for details and innovation.
- Excellent Written / Verbal negotiation skills.
- Must have knowledge of working on computers and ability to learn management software.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of customer care ethics.
- The ability to thrive in a high-paced and self-managed environment where you can put your detailed-oriented and organizational skills to good use.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must have valid Class 5 licence with car and insurance.
- Must be able to provide a recent criminal background check and vulnerable sector check.
- Must adhere to health and safety standards.
- Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Must be able to document clients' problems and concerns accurately and clearly.
- Social media engagement skills.
- Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full Time

**Salary**: $22 to $24.00 per hour
