The retail, rentals and repairs assistant manager is responsible for assisting the Manager in the operational and fiscal activities of the Retail/Rental/Repair/Uniforms department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Manager in the day to day operation of the Retail/Rental/Repair and Uniforms operations and oversee the operation in the absence of the Manager
- Develop and implement procedures in order to continually improve the revenue, customer service quality and overall efficiency of all departments.
- Assist with staff hiring, discipline and termination procedures in accordance with LLSR policy.
- Oversee all departmental supervisory and sales/technical staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and monitoring of hourly payroll expenses
- Provide, schedule and co-ordinate staff training and monitor overall staff performance.
- Supervise staff in accordance with LLSR and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain and monitor a high level of sales and service standards.
- Monitor and asses inventory levels and related sales levels.
- Enforce inventory and cash control systems.
- Provide sales floor support on a daily basis in all departments when required
- Assist with product research and product category planning for purchasing.
- Coordinate inventory and product merchandising.
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- A three month probationary period applies
- A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment

**Job Requirements/Qualifications**:

- 1+ years of management or leadership experience in the Rentals/Repairs or similar industry
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Possess a high level of product knowledge for winter sports equipment, and have the ability to transfer the information to staff and guests alike.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Computer literate with strong proficiency using programs such as Windows and Outlook
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
