**Position Overview**

We are looking for a Marketing/Events Coordinator Intern to join our amazing team at Kingsgate Mall. This position will support Facility Coordinator and Property Manager with a variety of tasks to help promote the mall and businesses. This position will plan and coordinate events and prepare marketing strategies to communicate with our customers and grow Kingsgate Mall’s customer base throughout the community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** EVENT PLANNING & COORDINATION**:

- Responsible for planning, organizing and executing event logistics
- Develops event plans and carries out all arrangements around preparation for and managing successful events;
- Handles the delivery and co-ordination of major holiday events including, but not limited to Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years and other events as necessary; at times is involved in seeking sponsorship to support the delivery of these events;
- Plays an active role in community marketing, including the coordination of community events and public consultation.
- Maintaining a calendar of promotional activities.

MARKETING PLANNING**:

- Designing a marketing proposal for Business needs
- In collaboration with the Director manages placement for advertising campaigns and roll-outs.
- Designing surveys to collect data
- Researching consumer trends and opinions to inform marketing strategy
- **
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT**:

- Managing social media platforms, websites, or company blogs
- Research, write, and distribute original content across internal and external communication channels including print, websites, intranets and social media networks, promoting a consistent image and identity

ADMINISTRATION**:

- Performing administrative duties specific to the Kingsgate Mall Administration office such as maintaining databases.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Prior knowledge of marketing strategies and business goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms and demonstrated experience in social media and digital campaigns
- Attention to detail and analysis skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Experience in communication planning and executing campaigns
- Previous experience working in a retail environment is an asset
- Strong customer service skills to investigate customer needs and provide effective communication solutions
- Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative
- Utilize a data driven approach to decision making
- Stay on top of trends and communicate market nuances on a regular basis
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently research, prioritize and assemble details for all aspects of a project or initiative
- Performs other related duties as required
