The Cook/Housekeeper enhances the dignity and quality of life of our residence through the assumed responsibility for hospitality services by ensuring the overall cleanliness and respectful appearance of the facility and the provision of nutritious meals.
- responsible for hospitality services including: cleaning and sanitization of common areas, program spaces and washrooms
- Provide support, where required to meal planning, preparation and serving
- Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, corporate and program policy
- Hospitality and availability are aided by providing an environment that is welcoming and dignified
- Must also be able to demonstrate flexibility in the carrying out of work in response to participant and organizational needs and must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

**Qualifications**
- A high school diploma and previous cleaning experience is required
- Residential cleaning experience is preferred
- Possess an appreciation and understanding of a range of issues impacting cis women, trans and non-binary individuals including abuse, poverty, homelessness, mental health and substance use
- A valid C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified)
- A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity

- Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset
