**How You Will Make an Impact**

The Cook / Housekeeper enhances the dignity and quality of life of our clients by ensuring the overall cleanliness and respectful appearance of the facility, maintaining adequate supplies for housekeeping and meal preparation, as well as providing healthy meals.

Hospitality and availability aided by providing an environment that is welcoming and hospitable to clients. The incumbent must also be able to demonstrate flexibility in the carrying out of her work in response to client and organizational needs and must be able to adapt to the changing needs of a diversity of clients accessing service. Responsible for hospitality services including: cleaning and sanitization of common areas, offices, and program spaces as well as facility laundry.
- Provide support, where required, to meal planning, preparation and serving
- Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, corporate and program policy
- Hospitality and availability are aided by providing an environment that is welcoming and dignified
- Must also be able to demonstrate flexibility in the carrying out of work in response to participant and organizational needs and must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
- Minimum completed high school diploma
- Valid G license and ability to drive Good Shepherd vehicles
- Residential or commercial cooking experienced required.
- Menu planning experience preferred
- Experience with inventory management is an asset
- Food Handlers certification required, or a willingness to be certified
- CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
