**Collections and Customer Accounts Officer**

FunctionAbility is one of Ontario's leading providers of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. We provide expert assessment and treatment services province wide to people who suffered traumatic and acquired neurological injuries and severe orthopedic injuries. Our services are delivered by highly skilled clinicians in a variety of settings (ex: in-hospital, in-home) with a focus on helping our clients regain function, independence and dignity. FunctionAbility is currently looking for a full-time Collections and Customer Accounts Officer

Please note this role is hybrid.
- **Basic Position Requirements **_**(include but not limited to)**_**:_

**Collections**:

- Track and maintain A/R balances for all payors
- Contact and communicate effectively with 3rd party payors for outstanding payments
- Adhere to regulations when following up on outstanding payments
- Provide monthly statements to 3rd party payors
- Work with Client Service Representative and therapist on denied payments
- Escalate as needed to supervisor for any potential issues
- Coordinate with clinical team and client for Extended Benefit payments
- Provide excellent customer service and responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide monthly reporting supervisor on outstanding Extended Health Benefit and Private pay clients

**Other**:

- Review, analyze, propose and implement improvements that strengthen systems, processes and internal controls
- Attend team meetings
- Other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Degree in related field
- Minimum two years of administrative experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
- Great attention to detail
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
