**Job Overview**:
**Job Duties**:
- Process and administer payroll-related services provided to clients including processing periodic pay stubs, issuing records of employment, reconciliations with CRA records, and processing CRA required remuneration slips and summaries on an annual basis
- Advising clients regarding payroll related questions
- Communicate with CRA regarding any questions they may have in regards to accounting and payroll tasks performed
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card account for various clients
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions resolving discrepancies
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Conduct any other tasks related to the accounting, payroll, and tax services provided to clients
- Preparing corporate tax returns
- Preparing individual tax returns
- Processing T4s, T4 summaries, and T5s
- Arranging and presenting data on schedules, spreadsheets, returns, or other work reports
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
- Liaise with partners to improve and develop accounting policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as requested
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Profile and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
