**Position: HR Administrator (6-month Contract)**

Magna is a leading global automotive supplier with manufacturing operations and product development, engineering and sales centres in over 29 countries. Our product capabilities include body, chassis, exteriors, seating, powertrain, electronics, vision systems, closures and roof systems and modules, as well as complete vehicle engineering and assembly.

Cam-Slide is a division of Magna Seating that specializes in the production of Seat Recliners and Seat Adjusters.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure effective and accurate administration and filing of employee records / employee systems.
- Scan information to payroll as required.
- Answer the phone as needed and re-direct to the appropriate departments accordingly.
- Update and maintain Cam-Slide communication boards, the MY Life App/ MagnaNow
- Communicate daily with the temporary agencies / production teams to request and confirm temporary staffing needs and then track on temporary tracking spreadsheet in a timely basis.
- Assist employees with general inquiries and redirect concerns to other HR staff as required.
- Prepare employment letters, coffee chat invitations, letters of concerns, communications and other documentation as required by the HR Department.
- Assist in Monthly Employee Meetings (schedule, setup/badge scanning, attendance, and meeting minutes)
- Prepare new hire packages for new hire orientations as required.
- Assist with administration of the hourly job posting process and recruiting needs if required (i.e. posting jobs, checking hr drop box, screening resumes, setting up interviews, reference checks, and related paperwork etc.)
- Support other departments as required (i.e. payroll, reconciliation log, H&S)
- Provide assistance to employees on Human Resources policies and programs in accordance with the principles of the Employee Charter
- Promote positive Employee Relations and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Always ensure excellent customer service both internally and externally
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and track opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with the administering/ planning of social events as required.
- Assists with HR projects and performs other duties as required.
- Maintain tracking of safety documentation for equipment as needed.
- Responsible to ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all HR and employee documentation.
- File HSE training records.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must comply with all IATF 19649 and ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) systems and standards as it pertains to their work.

**Qualifications**
- Completion of at least 1 year of college/university study or equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of work-related experience.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry an asset.
- Working knowledge of all current Employment Legislation, ESA, OHSA, AODA.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on being a team player.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently as needed.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft, Work, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and escalate difficult people/situations.
- Ability to take initiative and be resourceful to resolve issues.
