Capex Procurement Specialist
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to implement various procurement strategies to support value-creating projects.

About the role
- Lead procurement projects according to our strategic procurement process;
- Actively execute work to plan and track progress against priorities, find solutions to obstacles;
- Deliver projects within acceptable timeframes as a key component of meeting business unit expectations;
- Have exceptional negotiation skills, and be able to lead negotiations and develop complex negotiation plans for approval.
- Ensure all projects are captured by Ariba and meet all requirements set out in Rio Tinto Group and Rio Tinto Procurement policies, standards and guidelines;
- Build trust with stakeholders by establishing clear agreements, seeking regular feedback and meeting commitments to achieve common goals;
- Follow up on Momentum initiatives.
- Participate in change management in the plants during the implementation of new contracts or new suppliers

Requirements to be considered;
- 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement
- Negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement category management strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation, written and oral communication skills; initiative, team player and positive attitude
- Sensitivity to anticipate regional impacts and potential effects on the organization
- Ability to introduce our zero injury safety culture into procurement processes
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills (able to create management tools such as modeling and scenario analysis, etc.);
- Strong analytical ability and the ability to effectively collect and compile data;
- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing succinctly with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work without supervision;
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with Ariba and SAP an asset;

**Salary**: From $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
