**DB Custom Homes **is a luxury home building company on the cutting edge of modern design. We are looking for an ambitious, focused and experienced individual to join our team as a **Working Project Manager.**

In this **hands-on leadership role **you will be working in the field, in charge of managing a large-scale residential construction site from start to finish, as well as regularly performing skilled labour as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily management of project tasks and supervision of all sub trades, suppliers and field personnel to ensure adherence to project schedules and scope, safety standards, budget, company policies and procedures, laws and the Building Code
- Assist in facilitating schedules, quality control, and exceptional customer service alongside our in-office Operations Manager
- Facilitate regular meetings and/or walk-throughs with staff and trades to communicate any production and safety requirements as needed
- Note any deficiencies in timelines, quality, safety, budget, etc. and proactively and efficiently assist in problem solving, while complying with all company communication policies
- Attend designer and/or client walk-through meetings alongside the Operations Manager and/or the Owner, as well as weekly in-person or zoom team meetings, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Maintain and keep up-to-date all safety boards and signage on site
- Ensure employees have required training and are competent to perform tasks in a safe manner prior to commencement of work, reporting any and all accidents or issues to head office immediately
- Utilize and update our construction management software to keep projects on track
- Schedule, facilitate and/or attend necessary municipal inspections, while assisting inspectors and Project Co-ordinator with the completion of reviews and rectifying any issues as required
- Load or unload materials to be used in construction
- Assist in skilled labour as needed - i.e. drywalling, framing, taping, paint touchups, basic carpentry, etc.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards, and assist in ensuring the job site is clean and organized at all times

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of residential home construction experience and experience in a supervisory role
- Must have valid WHMIS, Working At Heights and First-Aid/CPR training
- Experience in basic carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. as well as using hand and power tools safely
- Reading comprehension of technical documents and blueprints, as well as the ability to build and follow construction schedules and understand construction budgets
- An understanding of current construction practices and the Ontario Building Code
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, coordinate several major actives at once, and lead and coordinate a group of people in an organized and professional manner
- A strong, dedicated work ethic matched with the desire to foster a positive working environment for your team, take initiative and maintain professionalism and a positive attitude at all times
- Valid G Driver’s License

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
