**Associate, Central Funding Group - Prime Brokerage**

**The Opportunity**:
**What will you do?**
- A core component of the role will be to actively engage with clients to ensure optimal efficiencies related to products and services are in place and to understand how RBC Prime Brokerage can continually improve its offering and capture new opportunities
- Validating margin and liaising with PB Client Service team on daily margin and risk calls Review accounts for style drift and abnormal activity on a daily basis
- Overseeing voluntary corporate events and the related election status including notification and the oversight of the processing by middle office
- Work closely with the Securities Borrowing-Lending team with daily review of client borrowing requirements and collateral management
- Client onboarding and integration
- Product development
- Liaising with functional units as required for daily activity monitoring, client onboarding and product development; including Risk, Credit, Law, Compliance, KYC, Account Management, Operations, etc.
- Assist with cross selling to other Global Markets businesses and areas of the firm

**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must have**:

- Solid understanding of financial markets
- Operating under mínimal guidance, the individual should be an energetic self-starter that excels in creating opportunities and can work independently
- Ability to work under pressure, responding to demanding stakeholders with time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of NEW SRO (formerly IIROC) margin requirements
- Understanding of current KYC and AML requirements
- Leadership behaviors - Drive, Adaptable, Always Learning

**Nice to have**:

- Completion of / or working toward CFA / CIM or equivalent is preferred
- CSC, DFC courses are an asset
- Background in a client facing role is an asset
