**The Opportunity**

The Assistant Development Manager is an integral part of in managing the day-to-day progress for the Design and Development process for all active projects and prospects.

**Your Impact**
- Maintain on-going correspondence with clients and other consultants.
- Organizing and attending client and sub-consultant meetings.
- Researching and investigating files, correspondence with Realtors and sign CA’s. This can include the due diligence process, intake of potential new opportunities on and off the market.
- Examine planning policies, regulations, maps and files, which can include zoning by-laws, planning rationale reports, GIS files and data room.
- Assist in manage Development Planning Interns / university students on various tasks.
- Preparation of minutes, agendas, letters, reports, and memos, for both internal meetings and site profiles.
- Update information regarding Habitat for Humanity GTA’s pipeline, portfolio, and continue building departmental processes.
- Proforma building - expectation of taking both ULI course and gaining hands-on-experience.
- Assisting as needed on Habitat’s active projects and supporting the Director and Development Managers.
- Actively and consistently coordinating with other departments internally as needed.
- Update and maintain the master schedule in MS Project and/or SmartSheets.
- Attend meetings and perform outreach as required with the team, consultants and/or municipal staff.

**What You Bring**
- Minimum post-secondary degree in Land Use Planning preferred or related field such as Geography or Urban Studies.
- GIS understanding or quantitative skills/ statistical analysis or visualization software and/or engagement tools is an asset.
- Understanding of relevant Planning and use related legislation and policy.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Planning System, including relevant legislation and the development approval process
- Knowledge of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal is an asset
- Some planning or related experience is an asset
