Rosewood House Shelter is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing essential support and assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness. You will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment that promotes stability, dignity, and empowerment for our residents.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct intake interviews with new residents, assess their immediate needs, and provide necessary referrals to appropriate services.
- Collaborate with the case management team to develop and implement individualized service plans for residents, focusing on housing stability, employment, healthcare, and personal development.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of the shelter premises and residents.
- Assist residents in accessing community resources, including healthcare facilities, employment services, and educational opportunities.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to residents experiencing distressing situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident interactions, service provision, and progress towards goals.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

- SSW diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or in a social service setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals facing homelessness.
- Knowledge of community resources and social service agencies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $20.10 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
