**Position Summary**

The Production Manager is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of event production. Working in conjunction with all areas of the organization, the Production Manager will manage and oversee events, plan and detail technical requirements, create event and venue documentation for technicians, assist with sourcing third party equipment and labour resources, assist with developing and improving event procedures, and manage onsite technical support. This position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that hours will be flexible and overtime may occur. This position is based out of one of our venues downtown Toronto and is in-person/onsite.

**Job Duties**
- Production Management_
- Review sales quotes with the account managers to confirm audio-visual details, venue, and event specific requests
- Work with the account managers on the event design/proposal preparation as required
- Successfully complete the pre-production, event production, and post-production process for in person, online and hybrid events
- Connect with clients and planners to finalize the details of their audio-visual requirements for their event and event documentation
- Manage change orders and set event budgets
- Liaise with clients, venue staff, and vendors and ensure all teams are setup for success
- Conduct virtual platform demos for existing and prospective clients
- Attend client meetings and site visits as required
- Develop and maintain knowledge of product and service offerings
- Team Management_
- Provide leadership and supervision for production team members working assigned events
- Provide coaching, guidance, and tools to assist team members with growth and development
- Ensure quality control and consistency of company standards are maintained
- Ensure production team members and technicians comply with all company and venue health and safety policies and procedures
- Event Production_
- Create technical documentation and floorplans as required
- Create and manage production documentation including: production schedules, event checklists, run of show, show info summaries, post-event reports
- Create and organize pull sheets and other event related documents in Flex Inventory Management Software
- Collect and organize event documentation and content from clients and venues
- Assist with creating and managing rental and labour purchase orders
- Assist with developing and improving onsite event procedures
- Assist with managing venue services as required
- Manage and oversee the creation of virtual event platforms as required
- Manage and delegate onsite leads and technicians
- Assist with the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio-visual equipment as required
- Act as a Show Caller as required, including coaching presenters and managing rehearsals
- Oversee the execution of events; manage event space for outside productions and film shoots
- Ensure post event reports are completed and submitted within 24 hours of event completion
- Update the account manager as change orders are processed for equipment and labour; reconcile all changes within 24 hours of event completion
- Schedule post event meetings with specific company and/or venue staff as required
- Manage post event recordings, video editing, and content transfers to clients
- General_
- Provide and maintain a positive relationship with all clients, vendors, employees, and independent contractors through effective communication
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Comply with company, industry, and legislative health & safety policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Attend company meetings as required
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times
- Maintain a cooperative and sensitive teamwork attitude when dealing with clients
- Other duties as required by company

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in event production, event management, hospitality, or business management
- 3+ years experience in the live events industry
- 3+ years experience in production management or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live event environment
- Proficiency with the use of computer hardware, software, and programs, including the Internet, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
- Ability to communicate orally and written at a professional working proficiency level or greater in the English language
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Strong negotiation skills with clients and vendors
- Work experience with LED walls, conference systems, and rigging is an asset
- Work experience with Crestron and QSYS systems is an asset
- CAD experience and skills is an asset, specifically with Vectorworks
- Experience using Flex Rental Solutions software is an asset
- Knowledge and experience of Lasso Crew Ma
