**The Opportunity**:
We are recruiting for a **Fund Development Officer**
- **_This a Regular, full-time position (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with flexibility required to meet project demands including evenings and weekends) based at 80 Waterloo Ave, Guelph._**

Reporting to the Manager, Fund Development, the Fund Development Officer will work with the team to carry out the fund development strategy. More specifically, this position will assist with the stewardship of donors, research and draft grant proposals, coordinate events and provide database management as well as general administrative tasks related to the fund development strategy. This position requires strong organizational skills, sound project management skills, the ability to understand donor relations, and to work in a fast paced, politically charged environment with deadlines.

Qualifications:

- Degree or diploma in Fundraising, Communications, Marketing or similar discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ of fundraising experience.
- Strong computer skills and intermediate knowledge Donor Perfect (or related database) as well as Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful implementation of projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to steward relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Exemplifies CMHA WW values in interactions with staff and when conducting project work
- Demonstrated understanding of multi-cultural communities and values diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstrated belief in the values and philosophy of CMHA WW
- A valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance, as travel is required
