London, Canada Hudson Entry & Automation Full time

**Job description**

Hudson. Where broken things get fixed.

Hudson’s purpose is to protect what is important. That means working with a diverse range of people within and beyond the company with a shared set of values to serve our customers. We serve them by offering perimeter security solutions including the design, consultation and installation of automatic gates, fencing, cameras, overhead doors and locksmithing.

If you are solutions-oriented, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a team growing an entrepreneurial organization we look forward to hearing from you regarding our job openings.

**Job purpose**

The Project Manager (PM) is integral in delivering a product or service that Hudson can do for the customer that will be of value to them. The purpose of our projects is to protect the customer, or their assets, and provide them with a system that they can utilize to suit their needs. To manage a project, is to oversee it from start to finish. Although a project may often begin in sales, the PM has input during its estimation and the initial planning phase. Following the sale of the project, the PM is responsible for ensuring each step to complete it is done with safety, quality, and efficiency.

The PM provides support to ensure the smooth execution of projects by documenting, record keeping, coordinating the timely delivery of supplies/ material, tracking project progress, maintaining project files, and ensuring quality control and safety. The PM must take ownership of the planning of each project; gathering the critical information from the sales team to communicate effectively with the Service Leader and technicians.

At Hudson, we bleed orange. Everything we do adheres to our core values. These are not just phrases and cliches at Hudson.
- We take action
- We continuously improve
- We put people first
- We value community

This part of our culture bleeds through everything you do and as a project manager, when no one is moving a project forward, you must take action. Sometimes it may take time to plan a project correctly and efficiently, but you always learn and improve on your knowledge, and the process in which you use it. When considering the method of operation of a system you are specifying, you think of the people using it, and consider their needs first. When deciding on a subcontractor to work with on a project you consider how that business will build and strengthen Hudson's community. Hudson deals with customers, not contracts. We develop relationships with suppliers, strategic partners and subcontractors. Every contact an employee has with these parties must help to foster those relationships to help Hudson strengthen and grow. If you think that you can embody these core values everyday, you are right for Hudson.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Acts as the key point person for project hand-offs from sales, ensuring that proper documentation has been included and appropriate forms are compiled
- Acts as a liaison between sales and estimating to advise on key aspects of projects such as technical design and specifications, as well as schedule forecasting and avoiding concerns
- Effectively communicates and coordinates with customers to book and complete all required work onsite per the scope of work and the timelines given.
- Confirms project timelines/occupancy as the project progresses and provides planners and scheduling coordinators with updates regarding relevant changes onsite.
- Orders all required parts and material for projects.
- Prepares and coordinates project close-out documents and reviews of deficiencies
- Maintains positive relationships with the sales team, service team, technicians, and key stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and to resolve concerns promptly and efficiently
- Oversee Asset Management
- ensuring that all required parts in a project are stickered and entered into FieldEdge
- Hours of work are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Performs additional assignments and responsibilities as required

**Qualifications**

Preferred / Valuable
- 3 to 5 years experience working as a Project Manager, or similar role, in a relevant industry to Hudson’s core business

**Mandatory**
- Project Management designation or certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Goal-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated with the ability to work well within a team environment
- Adaptive, quick learner, exceptional organization and reporting skills with the ability to have attention to detail while multitasking
- G-License and access to reliable transportation
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer-focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
