**Manager - Shelter Support Staff**

About Us: N'Dinawemak provides supports to Winnipeg's homeless population with a specific focus on Indigenous peoples. We have 100 men's beds and 50 women's beds with a maximum capacity of 200 each night.

**Position**: The Manager position involves managing staff engaged in supporting our Relatives to achieve their goals of housing, employment, cultural, personal and addictions support needs.
- Has a strong understanding of de-escalation and empowerment practices.
- Practices excellent interpersonal communication, and conflict transformation skills, self-awareness, self-reflection and self-assessment skills.
- Brings a highly collaborative approach to management combined with the ability to build a cohesive and productive team work environment.
- Assists staff and Relatives to identify internal motivations, develop self-management skills, build resiliency, and develop leadership abilities. Is empathetic while being able to give clear and direct feedback.
- Has the ability to practice inter-agency collaboration with a variety of service providers.
- Has strong report writing and computer skills.
- Possesses a strong understanding of case management processes and can contribute to a team environment.
- Has excellent crisis intervention skills and knowledge of resources.
- Has strong understanding of issues facing our homeless and vulnerable population.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Criminal record check with clear vulnerable sector and Child Abuse Registry.
