Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Administrator and Support, will be responsible to provide Help Desk support, overseeing installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshoot end user devices, along with providing network administration for all hardware and software. This position requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills along with strong technical knowledge with the ability to adapt to hardware and software changes is required. Experience in documenting operational procedures as well as the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of vendors and service providers rounds out this position.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of end user devices
- Provide on-call technical support in emergency situations
- Network, servers, and security systems administration and management, including phone system, VPN hardware and software, general network hardware and wireless network across our offices
- Ensure that company policy is followed when making changes to the configuration of network hardware and software
- Administer and maintain end user accounts and access rights
- Monitor security logs from various devices including servers
- Assist in the management of all areas of communication including voice, mobile, phone system management and data communications
- Work on projects as assigned
- Cross-train as needed for team vacation coverage as well as liaison with other IT teams across the organization
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- At least College Diploma in Computer Science
- A minimum of 4 years work experience with PCs and LAN/WAN environments.
- Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Possess a high level of technical knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task
- Strong customer service skills required
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in documenting operational procedures is essential
- Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of vendors and service providers
- Knowledge within a Windows environment using MS Exchange, IIS, DHCP, Wins and DNS, MS SharePoint, Active Directory, MDM/RMM software, mobile operating systems and VoIP technologies
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel for training or remote work.
- Ability adapt to a changing environment hardware and software changes
- Experience with firewalls, network switches and routers is an asset
- Experience with VPN’s remote implementation is an asset
- Exposure to SAAS or cloud-based computing is an asset
