**Duties**:

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare invoices and billing statements for clients.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial files and documentation.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support various financial projects

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounting Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Maestro, QuickBooks, Cortex, Open Invoice, etc.
- Strong understanding of financial services and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice-to-have:

- Experience with payroll systems
- Knowledge of a variety of accounting software
- Understanding of the Oil & Gas Industry in Alberta
- Be Working towards professional designation
