The MRG Group is a leader in experience creation. In operation since 2008, The MRG Group has grown to become Canada’s largest independent entertainment company, and through its ownership of 10 hospitality properties and 6 venues across Canada, the business is passionate about providing positive shareable experiences for its guests, 500+ employees, and partners.

In addition, The MRG Group owns and operates an events business, travel company, digital publication, and ticketing service Admit One. In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year.

The MRG Group is looking for a Marketing Assistant (4 month contract) to join our team and support marketing initiatives across the Live & Experience verticals. We welcome students to apply, but applicants are not required to be enrolled in an academic program in order to be considered.

**The Role**
- Coordinate with internal teams, such as Design and Digital Marketing, to support marketing initiatives in a timely and organized manner.
- Revise all relevant digital channels when a campaign launches, to ensure details and ticket links are uploaded and accurate.
- Manage creation and maintenance of UTM links, as needed.
- Print and distribute live event posters around downtown Toronto core
- Manage Media Requests and Photography Requests.
- Maintain internal Marketing and Media lists.
- Assist in social media activities such as setting up and maintaining Facebook events, requesting social posts from our Content Team, capturing content at live shows, and staying up to date on touring artist social channels for marketing purposes.
- Assist as needed with the writing of Press Releases.
- Identify and contact potential partners, influencers and tastemakers in relevant markets for possible partnerships within the digital space.
- Create, execute and maintain Loycals contesting platform for national and local contests, as well as communicating with contest winners and coordinating prizing.
- Organize digital files and documents as required.
- Support other verticals of The MRG Group (i.e. AdmitONE) with above tasks as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Ability to handle multiple projects at any one time with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills - can work independently to get tasks done or communicate with appropriate personnel to complete in a timely manner.
- Reliable self starter, with enthusiasm for the role and a willingness to assist and work as part of a strong team.
- Comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- An eagerness to learn, grow and develop as a marketing professional.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
- Loves attending live events, active in their local scene and can speak to market trends

**Terms & Expectations**
- Due to the nature of the work, after hours correspondence may be required
