**Manager, Community & Health Promotion Programs**

**(Contract Full-time, 35 hours/week)**

**(Starting April 1, 2023 - March 31, 2024)**

**(Non-Bargaining unit member)**

This position is responsible for managing a team of intensive in-home supports community youth workers and peer support leaders, ensuring effective service delivery, establishing a strong YouthLink presence, and developing partnerships in the community. This position is also responsible for the implementation of health promotional programs, program planning, development, evaluation, and data collection.

**What You Bring**

**Education**:

- Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
- Specialized training in mental health and harm reduction issues and intervention, adolescent development.
- Training in the following areas is an asset: clinical counselling models such as CBT, Narrative, Solution-Focused, evidence-based practices, outcome informed approaches, Signs of Safety Child Welfare Training, trauma assessment, Health Promotions, diversity and anti-oppression, Anti-Black Racism data collection and analysis.
- Coursework that demonstrates your desire for continual learning in Equity, Diversity and Belonging practices.

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years’ experience working with youth, marginalized and diverse populations.
- Two (2) years’ management/leadership experience preferably in a non-profit unionized environment
- Strong project management and clinical supervision skills.
- Ability to develop proposals.
- Understanding of the economic, political and social factors black and racialized youth and their community
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following systems: child welfare or protection laws; mental health and youth justice systems and youth legislation
- Experience in design, implementation and evaluation of programs that address systems change and youth complex needs
- Strong understanding of harm reduction principles and strategies to support youth
- Demonstrated experience in health programming, case management; program planning, development and evaluation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated skill in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practices, and specifically using an Anti-Black Racism lens.
- Broad knowledge of theories, principles and practices of systems and health promotional programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to speak/write French or another language is an asset.
