The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (the Partnership) is the steward of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (the Strategy). Its work is guided by the Strategy, which was refreshed for 2019 to 2029 and will help drive measurable change for all Canadians affected by cancer and a future where fewer people get cancer, more people survive cancer and those living with the disease have a better quality of life.

The Partnership works with those on the front lines of cancer care, and people living with the disease, to make system-level changes that improve all aspects of the cancer continuum from prevention, screening and diagnosis through to treatment, clinical care, palliative care and survivorship. Partners include provincial and territorial governments, cancer agencies, health organizations, health-care professionals, people living with cancer and those who care for them, as well as First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, governments and organizations.

The Partnership’s work is guided by a commitment to reducing inequities in cancer care for underserviced people in Canada such as those living in rural and remote areas, those with low income and new immigrants, and addressing First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples-specific cancer control priorities and actions, outlined in the Strategy, reflecting Canada’s commitment to reconciliation.

The Partnership’s **Finance and Corporate Services Division** leads all services to secure a sound financial platform and ensure that the organization has the technical, operational, infrastructure, talent management and change management capabilities necessary to achieve the maximum impact for its mandate and budget. The team works alongside all divisions in managing financial aspects of programs and initiatives that aim to deliver on the eight priorities of the _2019-2029 Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control_.

**_ Overview of Role_**

This is an 8-month contract position. The Consultant, IT Project Manager supports the Finance & Corporate Services Division in carrying out projects and initiatives to achieve organizational priorities. The Consultant, IT Project Manager’s primary assignment will be to work with an interdisciplinary team across the organization **on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 project (implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Marketing)** to meet the needs for a marketing and communications tool. In addition, the Consultant will manage some additional priorities and support organizational changes. The Consultant must be detail-oriented, highly organized and have demonstrated experience in leading and managing enterprise projects.

The Consultant, IT Project Manager supports the Finance & Corporate Services Division in carrying out projects and initiatives to achieve organizational priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Delivery Management Office the incumbent leads the delivery of program/project objectives. As a highly organized professional with strong time management skills, this position delivers on the tasks of the job while contributing to the Partnership’s overall vision to reduce the burden of cancer on all Canadians. Duties include:

- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, gather, and document requirements
- Acts as the primary day-to-day project management liaison between the Partnership project team and the external CRM vendor
- Develop a detailed project plan, monitor tasks, follow up, and maintain the plan
- Establish effective and appropriate project governance for the project
- Report on project progress as required
- Identify and analyze project schedule, budget, scope, and impact variances, and communicate actual or projected variances for project status reporting
- Collaborate with finance analysts and procurement colleagues when budgets and contractual agreements are involved
- Lead the identification, documentation and monitoring of project risks and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle, in collaboration with program, finance and procurement colleagues
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide project information and integrate work related to support functions such as finance, procurement, strategy, communications, IT, evaluation, and performance measurement
