**Warehouse General Maintenance Laborer**

**What You’ll Do**
- Maintain and operate battery changing station including removal and replacement of lift batteries (at applicable sites)
- Operates floor sweeper / scrubber to maintain facility floor
- General building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry and painting
- Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA and Wayfair safety policies and procedures
- Empties trash as directed
- Conduct daily/weekly preventative maintenance and completes daily log sheet
- Perform pre-operation checklist and verify all safety devices are functional at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
- Perform other job-related duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor
- Maintain a good attendance record

**What You’ll Need**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic carpentry and maintenance experience including carpentry, painting, plumbing
- Experience safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts
- Proficient using hand and power tools and computers to perform required duties
- Previous battery charger/changer experience is a plus
- Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime
- Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods
- Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted
- Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and unlit
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take direction
- Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude
