Manager, M&a Advisory

**Role Description**: This Manager, M&A Advisory (Client Enablement & Learning) has two core responsibilities: firstly, to provide business development support, in terms of preparing sales collateral (pitchbooks, proposals, walkthroughs, etc.), conducting research on new prospects, and setting up thematic BD campaigns.
Secondly, to lead the “new client experience” function, in particular executing on client on-boarding and new mandate launches; improving the underlying new client processes; and, gathering institutional learnings and best practices, and building systems on how those propagate throughout the organization.
The role reports to a Managing Partner.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Provide exceptional BD support through preparation of pitchbooks, research of new theses, and documentation of our prospects’ preferences, monitoring and updating over time;
- Project manage entire onboarding process & checklist, continuously identifying ways to improve the process, until handed off to origination (mandate execution) team
- Curate and manage institutional learnings, build repositories for best practices for origination, research and business development, and build the institution’s muscle memory for this. Leverage this information to help design and populate training plans.
**Competencies**:

- Love for learning, coaching and educating others
- 3+ years in M&A advisory / transaction advisory services, with a desire to continue to be involved in the space, but not on the very front lines.
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
- Autonomous, organized and structured
- Exceptional listener and asker of questions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute
