ZEN Residential is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Financial Reporting and Compliance to join our innovative property management team. As a company committed to redefining property management through financial excellence and exceptional service, we're looking for someone who can help us maintain the highest standards of financial accuracy and reporting in our growing portfolio. You will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our diverse property portfolio. You'll work closely with property managers, asset managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, while contributing to the overall financial strategy of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential properties
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Coordinate and assist with year-end audits and tax return preparations
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and industry standards
- Prepare budget-to-actual variance reports and provide insightful analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor cash flow and manage property-level cash requirements
- Collaborate with property managers to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial performance
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity
- Assist in special projects and process improvement initiatives

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the residential real estate sector
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
- Familiarity with tax regulations related to real estate
