**Full Time Educational Assistant & School Secretary***
**_Fr. Gerard Redmond Community Catholic School is a Grade 5-12 School_***
Fr. Gerard Redmond Community Catholic School in Hinton, AB is currently seeking a half time High School Educational Assistant and half time School Secretary to assist students with diverse academic and social/emotional needs and provide standardized and complex secretarial support to the office and school.
The assignment is to begin August 29, 2023 of the 2023-2024 school year.
Salary range: $18.61 - $26.30 as per the Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.
**Qualifications required are as follows**:
- Experience utilizing strength-based, trauma informed practices
- Experience working with students with diverse needs
- Able to effectively deal with crisis situation; physically able to lift and/or protect
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
- Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
- Diploma in child/youth care, Educational Assistant Certificate is an asset
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a busy, team-based environment
- Extensive computer and technology experience and skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with direction
- Strict commitment to confidentiality of information and privacy
