The Job

As the stewards of WBD Streaming Global Technology’s knowledge, our mission is to ensure every employee can reach their full growth potential by accessing the information they need, when they need it. Our two priorities are Learning and Knowledge Management. We shepherd organizational growth and maturity through onboarding and continual learning, standardized documentation, and information governance.

As a Technical Knowledge Manager, you will join a team of smart and well respected professionals responsible for ensuring our employees have access to the information that they need, when they need it. Core responsibilities include:

- Building an organization-wide documentation process for developers, managers, and all operational staff.
- Enabling individuals to produce consistent, clear documentation for all to consume. Includes the development of guides and templates.
- Supporting our fellow team members in the use of Confluence and SharePoint.
- Gathering information and developing clear technical documentation.
- Collaborating with SMEs, developers, engineers, and Technical Program Managers across our globally-distributed team to gather requirements and product deliverables.
- Report on our core metrics that drive success for the Knowledge Management Office.

The Daily
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of their technologies and how to best capture and share their technical knowledge
- Empower others to document their efforts and learnings
- Advocate and empathize with others to always strive for improving the user experience.
- Review and copy-edit content created by developers and other SMEs; collect approvals from stakeholders to ensure accuracy of the technical information.

Administration & Support
- Identify and implements improvements in the documentation development lifecycle that enable efficient delivery of quality documentation content
- Maintain and provide ongoing support for our content systems (Confluence, Sharepoint)
- Support user requests for Confluence help and guidance
- Produce a robust reporting framework for tracking and reporting KPIs/CSFs on a regular basis
- Audit existing and planned content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities

Content Creation
- Create onboarding materials to help our new hires easily understand the Global Technology platform and speed time to platform adoption
- Recommend and implement best practices for cohesive documentation across all media:

- Confluence documentation
- Learning materials
- Videos
- Guides
- etc.

The Essentials
- Highly collaborative across a global organization
- Curious in an enterprise environment; taking initiative to build relationships
- Extensive experience in Software development organizations (XX years)
- Robust technical writing skills (Quantify)
- Understand the cross-section of document design and content for optimal user experiences across learning, reference, concept, and how-to materials
