Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer you will bring your passion for serving the end-user with targeted, accurate knowledge through the use of leading-edge, proven documentation tools and methodology. Using your understanding of industry best practices, you will work with Engineering and Product Management to produce the best possible documentation while ensuring project and customer milestones are satisfied. You will also contribute to Pleora's externally facing Knowledge Base by working closely with the Engineering and Applications Engineering teams. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

What you do
- Be able to prepare and maintain documentation pertaining to programming and systems operation
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced development environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Must possess excellent fundamental writing and documentation management skills, including versioning, editing, proof reading, and content management
- Be able to develop, follow, and maintain corporate style guides, processes, and templates
- Bring the skill and experience required to translate complex technical concepts into simple and precise terms for multiple and wide-ranging audiences
- Have knowledge and expertise with various documentation media and tools, including:

- Have the ability to work with multi-functional teams to achieve project goals

**What you need**
- University degree in Engineering, English or a related field, or a combination of education and industry related experience
- 3+ years' experience in a technical writer working in a technical environment such as engineering, computer science, security, or software
- Working knowledge of computer software, technology concepts, and platforms
- Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and experience/comfort operating in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience with Web publishing an asset
