**Position Overview**

The Dry Docking Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the hull painting process for vessels owned or operated by the company. This includes planning and scheduling hull painting, coordinating with shipyards and contractors, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards, and managing budgets and expenses.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and schedule hull painting for vessels owned or operated by the company, considering operational requirements and industry best practices
- Coordinate timelines, operation and coating with ship owner representatives, dry docking staff (paint supervisors), coating inspector hired for the service
- Manage coating inspectors’ allocation and schedule, reporting
- Monitor paint storage and location at the dry docks
- Coordinate with shipyards and contractors to ensure that hull painting is carried out safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Monitor the progress of hull painting, provide regular updates to senior management, and take corrective action as necessary to ensure that timelines and budgets are met
- Ensure that all hull painting activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Manage budgets and expenses related to hull painting, including negotiating contracts and invoices with shipyards and contractors
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hull painting, including reports on costs, timelines, and outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to vessel crews and other stakeholders during the hull painting process
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of hull painting processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement

- Review and approve Coating Reports from Coating inspectors
- Share Coating reports with ship owner when applicable

**Qualifications**
- FROSIO, NACE or ICOOR certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in paint service in dry docking coordination or a related field
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor complex projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to dry dockings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing budgets and expenses
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Willingness to travel to shipyards and other locations as necessary
