Shifts: Pre-Turnaround 4 on & 3 off at 10 hrs./day

Turnround 6 on & 1 off at 12 hrs./day

Altex Industries is a fabrication, engineering and service company that specializes in providing heat transfer equipment and service for the Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper and Petrochemical industry domestically and internationally, who cares about the quality of our work, our people and our clients.

We are looking for a QC Examiner, Level 1 to join our fast-growing company If you have experience working shutdown/turnarounds, thrive under pressure and the type to commit to a project until it is completed, we are looking for you to join our team
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the visual inspection of pressure process piping. Certification to CWB W147.2 Level 1 and previous experience with heat exchangers and piping would be an asset
- A comprehensive understanding of welding processes and their associated defects when applied to the welding of carbon steel, stainless steel and various alloys
- Familiarity with Alberta Safety codes, ASME section II, VIII-1, and IX. Knowledge of API codes that relate to heat exchanges would be an asset
- Good knowledge of process piping bolt up and installation
- Prepare clear and comprehensive reports as required
- Previous experience in the preparation of detailed Inspection Test plans/Travel sheets for new construction and repairs
- Excellent communication skills, time management capabilities and well organized
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

In addition, preference will be given to individuals that possess the following certifications
- CSA W178.2 Level 1 certification
- ASME B31.3 Endorsement
