**Quality Control Inspector - Fort McMurray, AB**

CIMS Limited Partnership is seeking **Quality Control Inspectors to provide quality control support to the QC lead and project management team.**

In the position of _**Quality Control Inspector, **_ you will be responsible for Reporting to the QA/QC Lead, Quality Control provides assistance and direction to supervisors in the performance of inspections, tests and completion of documentation covering welding, mechanical, rotating equipment, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.

**This is a short-term project-based contract.**
- You will be accountable for:_
- _**Ensure all incoming and outgoing raw and fabricated materials meet quality standards.**_
- _**Ensure inspections and tests are completed and at standard.**_
- _**Ensure all QC/QA documentation is complete.**_
- _**Live the CIMS corporate values by demonstrating a professional and respectful workplace and promoting collaboration, innovation, and engagement.**_
- **CWB Level 2 **_is an asset however _**CWB level one**_ _will be considered with the _**following endorsements.**_

**ASME B31.3** - requirements for oil and gas transmission pipelines, processing piping and related steel structures

**ASME B31.1** - requirements for inspection of power and auxiliary service piping systems for electric generation stations, industrial institutional plants, central and district heating plants. (Boiler externalPiping, Furnaces, etc.)

**ASME VII & IX** - requirements for Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Welder Testing.
- _2-4 years of related quality control and/or assurance experience._
- _Must be able to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings in addition to GDT._
- _Ability to read and understand company procedure manuals and read the standards guide/manual to avoid inspection errors._
- _**Will be required to take alcohol and drug at pre-screening test**_
- **Working conditions**_ _, _you can expect while performing your role include:

- _Will be required to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions._
- _Will be required to work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature_**.**_
