Quality Control Lead - Fort McMurray, AB

CIMS Limited Partnership is seeking **a highly motivated, problem solver with the ability to implement, mentor and guide Quality initiatives** with **leadership experience **to fill the role of **Quality Control Lead.**

In the position of _**Quality Control Lead, **_you will be responsible for Reporting to the QA/QC Regional Manager, the QC Lead oversees the quality department activities for their specific location and creates and sustains a quality-conscious environment. This position also implements and maintains sound quality guidelines, practices and procedures to assure top quality on all projects. The QC Lead supports the project management team in QA/QC matters and provides work leadership and training to other inspectors.

This position will be a **project-based term contract**.
You will be accountable for:

- _Provides Quality Assurance (QA) leadership and direction to QA and staff in their location._
- _Mentors and develops the QA/QC team in their location._
- _Allocates QA/QC resources to various projects and project sites in their location._
- _Creates and sustains a quality-conscious environment._
- _Lives the CIMS corporate values by demonstrating a professional and respectful workplace and promoting collaboration, innovation and engagement._

**CWB Level 2 mandatory requirement.**

The following endorsements would be an asset:
**ASME B31.3** - requirements for oil and gas transmission pipelines, processing piping and related steel structures

**ASME B31.1** - requirements for inspection of power and auxiliary service piping systems for electric generation stations, industrial institutional plants, central and district heating plants. (Boiler external Piping, Furnaces, etc.)

**ASME VII & IX** - requirements for Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Welder Testing. Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and 5 years in QA/QC supervision.
- _Advanced knowledge of machine capability requirements._
- _Interact with others to co-ordinate work and exchange information during quality meetings._
- _Interact with others to monitor progress and correct work that does not meet quality standards._
- _**Will be required to take alcohol and drug at pre-screening test**_

Standard office equipment will be used such as computers, photocopiers, fax, phone, etc. Will be required to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Will be required to work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature. Will be required to work on customer sites, supplier premises and other facilities.
