Cash Administrator

The Cash Administrator will report to the Manager of Property Accounting and Financing, prepare cash receipts (PADs and cheques) as well as cash management and reporting for a number of commercial and multi-residential properties and corporate entities.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare monthly PAD (EFT) input for transmission to banks.
- Deposit cheques from commercial and residential tenants for many properties and cheques for corporate entities using Remote Deposit Capture hardware.
- Record and report tenant NSF cheques/ PAD payments
- Make online payments of utilities, HST, realty and income taxes. Wire transfers are necessary.
- Act as liaison between the banks and Glen Corporation accounting staff (queries, errors, statements).
- Prepare daily and weekly cash balance reporting.
- Maintain files and records of tenants postdated cheques and PADs (EFTs).
- Ensure bank charges are properly charged and correct if necessary.
- Open/close bank accounts and maintain files.
- Review and prepare cash distribution/ contributions for joint venture properties.
- Maintain appropriate levels of cash in joint ventures and corporate banks accounts.
- Online transfer of funds among bank accounts as needed.
- Journal entries for investments, online transfers, direct deposits from tenants.
- Arrange for investment of surplus funds.
- Other cash flow projections as required.
- Monthly/ quarterly reporting as required.
- Maintain documentation regarding mortgages and short term debt facilities.
- Monthly allocation of interest income among various property and corporate entities.
- Preparation of amortization schedules for loans.
- Maintain Letters of Credit files.
**Education and Experience**
- University Degree/College Diploma in an Accounting/ Finance related field or post secondary diploma in business/ accounting/ finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Exposure to online accounting systems (Yardi Voyager)
- Exposure to online banking for commercial clients.
- Strong numbers orientation and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organized, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong people skills
- Self starter, ability to work independently.

**Salary: $52,000 - $58,000**
