**About This Opportunity**:
Nova Scotia Health is seeking a full-time family physician. The Physician will be located in the community of Dartmouth South, 375 Pleasant Street. This clinic is collaborative in nature and consists of two family physicians, a nurse practitioner, a family practice nurse, and a pharmacist.. This clinic will support a blend of attached and unattached patients, allowing for a diverse practice experience. It is managed by NS Health with administrative support and is fully integrated on a Med Access enterprise with other Primary Care Clinic sites in Central Zone.

The is a brand new, well maintained facility with access to a meeting space. There is on site parking for staff and is on a direct bus route. Dartmouth South PCC will work closely with community partners to deliver health education that align with PHC principles.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care. health promotion and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient's advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

**Expected Hours**:
Full-time hours

**Qualifications**:
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
