**About This Opportunity**:
Richmond Family Practice is seeking a full-time Family Physician to locum at its professionally managed clinic. This centrally located practice is located in Halifax and is a short commute to downtown Dartmouth. This practice is comprised of 12 full-time and part-time Family Physicians, an ENT Physician, a Podiatrist and a breast-feeding medicine consultant. This clinic includes access to ECGs on site, and also offers INR testing. It is professionally managed and is fully supported by friendly administrative staff. This clinic uses both MedAccess and Accuro EMR.

This locum opportunity is for approximately one year, beginning May 1, however a shorter length may be considered. The patient roster size is approximately 1400 patients.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Full-time

**Qualifications**:
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
