**About This Opportunity**:
Richmond Family Practice is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This centrally located practice is located in Halifax and is a short commute to downtown Dartmouth. This practice is comprised of 10+ full-time and part-time Family Physicians, is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

**Expected Hours**:
Full -time, 1.0FTE

**Qualifications**:
Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
