Our team manufactures everything from one-off products for the entertainment industry to high volume products, proprietary or not, that we market through distribution channels and end users in a variety of industries.

**We are actively seeking a motivated and energetic Production Scheduler & Purchaser who can organize production according to demand and quality standards. **The ideal individual has experience in manufacturing planning, purchasing as well as inventory management. This individual will have experience ensuring products are produced on time for distribution in an effective way. This role will report directly to the Production Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Coordinate and distribute production work orders and quality documentations for all products
- Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
- Schedule shifts according to production needs
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain daily/weekly output information (number of finished products, percentage of non-compliant etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
- Purchase materials and supplies for the company and its divisions
- Collaborate with administration, design/engineering, quality control, production and other staff

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as production scheduler in manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Great purchasing/sourcing experience in a manufacturing setting
- Good working knowledge of inventory management including safety stock program
- Experience using MRP software
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite, Outlook, etc
- Good at math and statistics
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Supervisory skills an asset

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing: 5 years (preferred)
- scheduling: 3 years (preferred)
- Purchasing: 3 years (preferred)
