This is a supervisory role that includes direct support and service responsibilities. It is designed in the career progression as first step into broader operational and/or organizational leadership. A key responsibility is training, coaching, monitoring and support for community service workers.

**Overview of Responsibilities**
- Supervising staff regularly in a variety of situations to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of agreed upon ISP plans. This includes Delegation, review, and process complete ISP document. Identifies individual’s desired personal outcomes and tracks progress.
- Provides staff orientation/training according to orientation checklist and training requirements, and provides regular coaching opportunities.
- Creates CSW schedules and work assignments and ensures the accuracy and timely submission of time sheets. Monitors staff absenteeism and proper use of vacation and sick time. Finds coverage for staff training and staff using sick time or vacation time. Conducts staff performance management and appraisal as needed including goal setting and ongoing coaching.
- Acts as the team resource for relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations, service protocol
- Acts as the principal liaison between staff and Program Manager, as well as between the team members and other service/support providers.
- Ensures Restrictive procedures and Positive procedures are followed and monitor that corresponding documentation is completed
- Works/collaborates with other service providers on behalf of the individual to facilitate and coordinate service/supports; and, may intervene on behalf of the team or the individual in complex and/or sensitive situations to endure clear and consistent understand of issues and service requirements. This may include mentoring and/or coaching staff to ensure team understanding and effectiveness.
- Collects and reviews month ends ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Collects and reviews incident reports and RP reports, and conducting follow up when needed. Completes monthly reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timely submission of finances.
- Responsible for reviewing log notes, month ends, yearly reviews, critical incident reports, contact notes, activity trackers, behavior trackers, OH&S paperwork, and performing follow-up to any incidents or areas of concerns.
- Organizes and chairs monthly team leader meetings, staff meetings, house meetings and committee meetings when applicable. Responsible for documentation and follow up.
- Communicates in a professional, timely, accurate, and respectful manner with individuals, families, guardians, staff, or community representative regarding changes, progress, and concerns.

Skills needed: Professionalism, problem solving abilities, ability to work collaboratively, self-motivation, honesty, positive attitude, good communication skills, conflict resolution, coaching and mentoring skills, time and priority management skills, English proficiency and computer literacy, Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Schedule varies and includes on call rotation.

**Salary**: $63,232.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
