**Hours**: 37.5 hours a week (some flexibility, between 9am-5pm, Monday
- Friday)

**Term**:FT term until June 30, 2024 (possibility of renewal)

**Salary Range**: $25-27/ hour

Acorn Family Place is a multi-service family resource centre providing support, enhancing education, and fostering community. We work together to strengthen children and families on the challenging journey of living and growing.

Reporting to the Manager of Programs, the goal of the **WrapAround Program Supervisor** is to coordinate and implement a program of wraparound support for families with involvement (or at risk of involvement) in the child welfare system, by completion of the tasks below.

Roles and Responsibilities:
**Program Coordination and Leadership**
- Supervise a team of 2-4 support workers in the WrapAround program
- Provide leadership to WrapAround program staff through training, regular debriefing, coaching, performance management, and collaboration
- Accept and facilitate participant referrals
- Provide financial oversight of program budget and spending
- Provide necessary program information for funding proposals and reports
- Develop and strengthen partnerships pertaining to program

**Program Development**
- Develop and implement program work plan and associated processes and procedures
- Promote the WrapAround program
- Develop documents and tools to support program activities
- Create and build strong relationships with organizations that provide resources and supports to families with child and family services (CFS) involvement
- Conduct program evaluation
- Research relevant best practices and adapt program delivery model based on learning

**Program Delivery**
- Engage with families to listen to their stories and develop goals
- Assist families with system navigation
- Develop support plans guided by program participants and facilitate the carrying out of plans
- Accompany participants to meetings and appointments as appropriate
- Provide supported resource referrals
- Collaborate with other Acorn Family Place staff to coordinate internal support plans
- Maintain organized documentation
- Plan and coordinate regular group activities for WrapAround program participants
- Experience supervising staff teams (2 years minimum)
- Experience with project and budget management
- Training and/or experience in coaching, mentorship, leadership and conflict management
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in relevant field such as social work, community development, or other relevant field, or a combination of relevant knowledge and experience (lived and/or professional)
- Strong community engagement skills, including a demonstrated ability to connect with families with diverse backgrounds and needs though a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens
- A strong understanding of Manitoba’s child welfare system and its impacts on families
- A commitment to participant-led programming and experience supporting capacity building
- Familiarity with local resources, ability to create networks of support
- An in-depth understanding of the impacts of colonialism, racism, trauma, poverty, and other factors, on the health and wellbeing of individuals and families
- Organizational and administrative skills; able to self-manage and create effective procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication; able to adapt for a variety of audiences
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- A collaborative approach to teamwork and effective communication
- A strong ability to remain professional and maintain a calm and safe environment in times of potential conflict and escalation
- A strengths-based approach to community development

**Closing date**: August 31, 2023

Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
