**Intern, Operations**:
The Manufacturing Department within the Operations team is responsible for managing the safe and productive construction and outfitting of modular structural components of the ship. The scope of work in this area varies from the fabrication of small assemblies to the construction of 200T hull components and the associated installation of pipe, mechanical and electrical equipment.

In this position, you will work on all aspects of shipbuilding projects in various stages of construction, with responsibility for project execution while assisting Production Managers and Supervisors with their daily tasks to complete objectives in a given time frame and with available resources.

**What you’ll do**:

- Assisting the Manufacturing Department in identifying potential problems and recommending solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Helping to maintain accurate records of the costs associated across various areas of the shipyard
- Working with production leadership, manufacturing engineering, and planning teams to develop and implement tools for increasing productivity on the shop floor
- Providing information to senior leadership team regarding project status and progress
- Coordinating with trades and to ensure that they are following proper safety procedures and working within their designated time frame
- Communicating regularly with stakeholders to make sure they are satisfied with the progress of the project

**What you’ll bring**:

- Enrollment in a degree or diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work with others as a team player
- Organized with strong technical and problem solving skills
- Ability to interface with subcontractors, suppliers and professionals
- Computer proficiency in the Windows environment
