**About the **International Writer and Content Specialist **Role**:
The International Writer and Content Specialist (IWCS) is a member of the International Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for journalistic-quality writing for integrated communications that positively enhances the image and reputation of Humber College.

The role also contributes to special projects, strategy reporting and award submissions.

The IWCS has demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of:

- Canadian Journalism standards research and journalistic quality writing, CP style
- Writing for post-secondary education
- For web, social media, multimedia
- Award submissions
- Student testimonials
- Video scriptwriting
- Multiplatform storytelling
- Planning and executing interviews for profiles or quotes with current students, alumni and faculty
- Leveraging existing brand style and tone
- Managing project timelines and milestones

**Education**
- A three-year diploma/degree in journalism, communications, PR or similar. Post-graduate qualification preferred.

**Experience/Skills**:

- At least two years of post-secondary education work as a content writer, journalist or similar.
- Practical experience in a complex, fast-paced, diverse service environment that involves managing multiple projects at the same time, strict adherence to tight timelines, and experience in using project management tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies and procedures concisely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for managing stored files & sharing content with the team in an organized manner.
