Ace Pneumatic & Hydraulic Repair Ltd is an air and hydraulic tool distributor, and we are also a service center for automotive, industrial, and construction products. The business was established in 1976 and is proud to serve Western Canada with the highest level of quality service.

We are an authorized warranty repair depot for Ingersoll Rand®, Chicago Pneumatic, and SPX Power Team. Our sales and service staff assists customers with finding parts, and our technicians repair impact wrenches, floor jacks, and other air tools.

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for all customer shipments and vendor return shipments leaving the warehouse. The Shipping Specialist is the last line of defense in providing top notch service to our customers and reports to the Sales and Service Manager.

**Qualifications & Ideal Skills**:
This position demands a friendly, helpful attitude, an outgoing personality, and the capability to work with a team in a fast-paced sales environment. The Shipping Specialist will have:

- Forklift and appropriate handling license;
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks;
- Experience in a similar work environment;
- Working knowledge of computerized inventory control systems;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Can read and interpret documents such as shipping manifests, waybills, packing slips and invoices;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Can lift 50 pounds repeatedly;
- Is physically able to stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend while reaching, and work in hot or cold temperatures;
- Is physically able to safely mount and dismount a ride-on warehouse forklift.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Ship all customer orders correctly and efficiently using proper carriers;
- Ensure orders are printed on Pick tickets and picked accurately and correctly;
- Have orders reviewed by shipper and or other warehouse team members;
- Assist in properly packing and labeling of orders;
- Assist in making sure packed orders are placed in correct staging areas;
- Conduct inventory counts daily or on an as needed basis;
- Review and investigate shortages as it relates to errors and omissions, picking errors and potential internal or external theft;
- Investigate and discuss errors with team members responsible for inventory locating, advise supervisor of recurring errors for further solution requirements;
- Assist or discuss any concerns with supervisor if process is not respected;
- Review and assist with picking fillable backorders daily;
- Complete all same day business immediately by picking, reviewing and double-checking orders for correct amounts and correct items during packing process;
- Ensure that all orders are packaged and labeled correctly and manifests are processed;
- Assist in making sure drivers are able to load vehicles correctly;
- Assist in any and all warehouse activities;
- Make sure warehouse and self-service areas are kept clean;
- Groom and clean inventory positions when moving around in facility and picking orders;
- Ensure all heavy load areas are secure and proper equipment is used to retrieve product;
- Respect safety measures at all times with higher loads properly skidded and wrapped;
- Report any unsafe conditions to warehouse team leader and take immediate corrections;
- Examine and inspect equipment for damages and report any damage to supervisors;
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment;
- Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with maintenance schedule;
- Ensure equipment is turned off and locked out when not in use;
- Communicate with internal and external parties in a professional manner;
- Assist in loading customer orders where required;
- Receiving of incoming supply orders;
- Put away of stock compliant with company warehousing procedures;
- Report any and all inventory inaccuracies to the Sales and Service Manager to perform stock adjustments;
- Participate in cycle counts when required;
- Report vendor shipment errors to the Sales and Service Manager for follow up with suppliers;
- Comply with company safety program and regulations.

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
