As Minestar Commercial Representative, you will support dealers and customers in the assigned region of main responsibility in a consultative manner. The main goal is to support with technology-enabled solutions our customer’s success in partnership with the Caterpillar Dealer Network. The Minestar Commercial Representative reports to the Regional Manager.

**Job Duties**:

- Develop and follow the execution of strategic and tactical plans with dealers to expand the Minestar footprint in the region. Work to achieve the revenue goals set for the region.
- Travel throughout the region (normally along with dealer personnel) to visit operations, understand customers’ goals, and opportunities to create a deep knowledge of the way they do business.
- Stay connected with dealer personnel to have deep knowledge of marketplace conditions in general and opportunities being entertained.
- Be responsible for the frequent update of the CRM tool (Salesforce) every no later than 3 weeks. This type of knowledge is of vital importance to other team members seeking to continue supporting customers’ operations in the most effective way.
- By gaining intimate knowledge of the dealer structure, capabilities, and resources, work at establishing development, support, marketing, and financial plans to support strengthen their capacity to be successful.
- Support regular sales planning processes.
- Assist with dealer-led opportunities.
- Train dealer team members on technology products.
- Represent the Minestar team in trade shows, customer events, etc. as needed.
- Continuously learn the product line to raise the level of expertise to become the person of reference for dealers in the region.
- Participate in teams’ meetings, being responsive when engaging in opportunities, and completing mandatory training programs are basic expectations for the role.
- Being observant and a model for our corporate values in action.
- Be part of a dynamic team in which all team members cooperate with one another.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics curriculum or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of Mining industry experience.
- 10+ years of job-related experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work with Caterpillar and Dealer leadership and others inside and outside the department.

Computer literate.

Prior experience in Caterpillar Dealer-facing roles.

Understanding of Caterpillar equipment.

Experience with technology tools.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Focus on process improvement.

**Additional information**:
The primary location for this position is Edmonton, AB, Canada alternatively Toronto or Montreal could be considered.

Domestic relocation is available.

This position may require 50% travel. You will be supporting the Western Canada region.
