**About the Role**:
As a Vendor Specialist at Alexa Translations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and vendor management across all translation and localization projects. You will be responsible for driving the process for recruiting and onboarding new vendors as well as overseeing quality processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working as part of the resources management team and collaborating closely with project managers, you will contribute to the enhancement of our translation services and uphold our reputation for excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Director of Resources to recruit, test, train and onboard new vendors, negotiate rates as well as address any underperforming vendors through retraining or replacement.
- Conduct vendor assessments to ensure compliance with industry-specific certifications, qualifications, and ethical standards.
- Works within the Translation Management System (Plunet) to ensure accuracy and manage the general resources database.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related matters.
- Collate data and generate reports to help the resources team through tracking performance, monitoring KPIs and other dashboards based on the direction of the Director of Resources.
- Collaborate with our vendors to improve their performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement vendor training programs or workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of language professionals.
- Monitor, coordinate and provide resource availability, workload, and scheduling to balance resource utilization and avoid bottlenecks.
- Implement and improve processes to drive efficiency and productivity, with a focus on optimizing the utilization of Plunet.
- Update and maintain the Plunet database to ensure structure and accuracy.
- Provide support through the analysis and optimization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Assist Plunet users with possible challenges and devise enhancements to streamline functionalities and processes.
- Organize and conduct training sessions regarding diverse Plunet aspects, equipping the team with tips and recommendations.
- Deepen understanding of Plunet features and identify new functionalities to improve workflow and process adherence, optimizing time and resources.
- Communicate changes and new procedures related to Plunet.
- Proficiency in working with Plunet components such as Contacts, Orders, and Queries concerning:

- Create new resource profiles in Plunet
- Maintain and update existing Plunet profiles
- Create and assign projects
- Implement new processes
- Export Plunet data to work on reports

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 3+ years in translation and localization quality management, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Fluency in both English and French
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in translation and localization, such as CAT tools, and **Plunet**:

- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within agreed deadlines
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively to meet evolving business needs.
- Familiarity with ISO 1700 and CGSB certifications
