- **Job Purpose**:The incumbent of this role will be a key contributor in supporting the People & Culture function by assisting recruitment with pre-screening activities, and management of People & Culture documentation.
**Working Conditions**
- **Hours**:Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm MST
- **Travel**:Minimal - may require pick up of supplies from time to time
- **Hazards**: N/A
- **Physical Environment**:Office setting
- **Dress Code**: Business casual
**Job Summary & Duties**
- Manage Job Postings
- Prepare, post and monitor job ads on applicable job boards
- Recruitment & Selection of junior roles
- Support recruitment & selection process, seeking guidance from Advisor, People & Culture when needed
- Organize and notation of key resumes and applicants for Advisor, People & Culture
- Orientation preparation and completion
- Create welcome and orientation documents for new hires - welcome letter, orientation schedule, employee file
- Coordinate new hire bookings and pre-employment screen
- Payroll
- Assist with payroll duties as required
- Maintain electronic and hard copy personal files
**Job Specifications**
**Education**: A certificate or diploma in Human Resource Management is considered an asset.
**Experience**:Minimum 2 year Administrative experience and 1 year Human Resources experience.
**Formal training/certifications/licences**: HRM Certificate or Diploma considered an asset
**Required competencies/knowledge/skills/abilities**:
- Has general knowledge of Human Resource functions related to: Recruitment & Selection, Benefits and Payroll;
- Familiar with federal and provincial employment standards and employment legislation;
- Professional verbal and written business communication skills;
- Demonstrated excellence in multi-tasking, time management, and prioritizing competing priorities within a fast paced environment;
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult and tricky conversations;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Has a strong grasp on business ethics and ethical workplace behaviour;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Problem solving skills.
