**Functions of the job**:

- Prepare pre-estimate functions, including procure drawings, review plans, specifications, contract documents, attend pre-bid meetings, visit sites, make recommendations regarding the quality of the bid opportunity
- Prepare project take off packages, review and identify changes, cost, material, equipment and labor
- Ensure all projects meet compliance standards (CWB, ISO, COR, TSSA)
- Assist in the preparation of scope definition, contract documents, subcontract administration and vendor relations
- Communicate ideas for improving company process with a positive and constructive attitude
- 2+ years Electrical Estimating experience
- PQS an asset
- Construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft, including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
- Experience with estimating software's (Accubid Anywhere an asset)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- High level of initiative and keen interest in construction and problem solving
