Job Summary

The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee the electrical engineering development of Spire designs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. This role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive prototype testing, documentation, and production support.

Responsibilities
  • Own electrical design and ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles are applied
  • Drive prototyping and testing of electro-mechanical systems
  • Develop detailed system documentation and provide production support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Maintain knowledge of RF theory and circuitry, including Power amps, filters, and layout
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with PCB design using enterprise software and DFM principles
  • Knowledge of digital communication interfaces, lab equipment, and CAD tools
  • Strong debugging experience and fault identification skills
Preferred Skills
  • RF systems engineering experience
  • Environmental testing experience
  • Basic software skills, familiarity with Linux, Python, scripting, and testing automation

Estimated salary: $125,000 - $170,000 per year, based on location and experience. Note that this is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
