**What you will do**

The Associate, Human Resources is a key member of the Human Resources Team who supports a strong collaborative work culture. The position holder focuses much of their time on full recruitment cycle, administering the performance management system and preparing workplace accommodation/return to work plans

In this position you will:

- Lead the full cycle of recruitment and selection, partnering with internal hiring managers
- Participate in the day-to-day management of the return-to-work program by requesting and following up on medical documentation and creating/updating RTW and workplace accommodation plans.
- Support performance management across the library system ensuring timely completion of all reviews/appraisals and coaching leaders in addressing employee relations concerns.
- Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators in areas such as recruitment, performance management and workplace accommodations.
- Advise staff on the interpretation of HR policies and legislative requirements.
- Conduct research for policies, new initiatives, legislative compliance, and other Human Resources related matters as required.
- Undertake special projects and events that positively reinforce the library’s organizational development and culture.
- Stay current on all HR related new and existing legislation and regulations.

**What you bring**
- College diploma in Human Resources/Labour Relations Management
- 3 - 4 years of Human Resources experience
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple projects with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively using time management skills
- Collaboration and relationship-building skills to establish effective professional relationships across the library with a range of stakeholders at all levels
- High degree of initiative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound judgment skills to navigate a variety of situations requiring discretion, tact and diplomacy when dealing with confidential information and sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current HR legislation (i.e. Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, etc.) and practices.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $61,942.00-$71,825.00 per year
