Position Title: ReStore Associate Summer Student Contract

Location: Orangeville ReStore

Hours/Days: Rotational shifts Monday through Saturday

Reports to: Store Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Habitat for Humanity HMD is seeking an energetic individual who thrives in a multi-faceted retail operations role. The ReStore Associate is a team player with a passion for our mission. This role provides customers and donors with an incredible experience that keeps them coming back and helps to maximize revenue through exceptional product displays and merchandising, effective receiving and processing of donations and salvage/recycling. This role will assist in coaching and developing volunteers in a positive and supportive environment. This opportunity requires strong customer service, merchandising, teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, and communication skills

Essential Job Functions
- Assist customers with purchases, product questions, donation drop offs, and loading customer purchases.
- Familiar with the ReStore Mission, products and layout, along with Habitat for Humanity HMD to answer customer questions and offer shopping solutions to all customers and donors
- Working efficiently to unload local truck donations
- Stock, clean, price and donated items; clean and maintain interior and exterior of store as needed.
- Responsible for familiarizing with and adhering to the HFHHMD Employee Guidelines, ReStore Operations Manual/SOPs, Safety Polices and all related procedures
- Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with peers, supervisors and volunteers
- Able to lift to 40-50 lbs. using a cart or dolly and possess reasonable agility to do the necessary physical labour.
- Own green patch CSA approved steel toe boots/shoes are required.
- Other duties as assigned

Potential hire is required to have Covid-19 vaccinations as per Habitat for Humanity HMD Policy.

This job is still pending as it is subsidized by the Canada Summer Jobs program which has not yet confirmed the contract timeline or approval of how many positions will be available this summer.
